project
The overall aim of the project is to improve the energy performance of public buildings, by enabling the local body to choose the most effective technical solutions in order to check the energy use.
The partnership will collaborate to the development, experimental adoption, publication and diffusion of: a unified procedure of energy audit in public buildings and an user friendly database where to store and compare data, both explained in users' guides and tested on a number of selected buildings, in order to be perfect tools. All outputs will be gathered and diffused as a European Kit for the local body to improve energy efficiency in public buildings.
Therefore these activities aim specifically to impact on the know how of the local body, that will then recognize renewable energy sources as possible alternatives and include them in the decision-making process, thus relieving communal budgets and reducing CO2 emissions. It is hoped in the long term that the public experiences will constitute excellent examples and stimulate virtuous behaviours and practices also in the private sector.
